Brendan Cashman

Brendan is a Director of C. Lewis España, which opened in 2021. Having obtained a First-Class Degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, Brendan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 and has specialised in forensic accounting ever since. Brendan is dual-qualified as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
After a decade of working in London at various mid-tier and big four accounting firms, Brendan relocated to Spain in 2019, where he joined C. Lewis to found the Spanish office in Madrid.
Brendan’s recent forensic accounting experience includes:

• Appointed Expert for the claimant (an insurer) in a merchant banking fraud case, giving evidence in the London Court of International Arbitration
• Tracing beneficiaries of a fraudulent “Ponzi” investment scheme
• Numerous share purchase agreement disputes, including a $1bn+ dispute for a major UK retailer

Since joining the C. Lewis team, Brendan has worked on many business interruption claims, including those caused by Covid-19, fire damage and flooding.
