Daniel began his career as a forensic accountant after joining C. Lewis & Company in 2004, initially based out of offices in Connecticut and New York, before relocating to Texas to run the Houston Office from 2011.

Throughout his time in the industry, Dan has been involved with various aspects of assisting adjusters, insurers, and attorneys with the claims handling process. He has extensive experience on complex claims involving business interruption, contingent business interruption, increased costs of working, extra expense and stock losses along with extensive domestic and international experience in the quantification and settlement of large and complex commercial insurance claims.

Over this time his focus has been primarily on complex oil & gas and large manufacturing losses; however, his industry experience also includes Energy (generation & transmission), Petrochemical Industries, Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism, Manufacturing, Mining, Petroleum (Upstream and Downstream), Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Steel and SMEs.

Litigation Support
In addition to providing loss analysis services, when required Dan has assisted attorneys in arbitrations, litigations and mediations using his experience in financial record and internal system analysis, interview skills and complex data set analysis.
