Rafael joined C. Lewis in 2023, having spent seventeen years working in the insurance industry. Rafael led the Brazilian claims departments for multinational companies AIG, Travelers and Zurich-Santader. During this time Rafael dealt with and managed numerous Property, Energy, Liability, Marine, Surety and Financial Lines claims of varying scope and sizes. His industry experience includes:
Rafael has worked in multiple catastrophic events, especially involving floods, windstorms and landslides in Brazil, with responsibility for managing and settling hundreds of claims as quickly, accurately and efficiently as possible. His work improving the CAT response processes has been recognised with multiple awards.
Rafael has also led digital transformation projects, transforming business processes and delivering exceptional results. His ability to leverage cutting-edge technologies has empowered organizations to achieve new levels of efficiency and enhance client experiences.
