Sahar is a professional in the field of forensic accounting and financial analysis, boasting a robust background in managing complex insurance claims and providing expert financial insights. With a Bachelor of Business Economics in Accounting from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (CA) from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Sahar joined C. Lewis & Company in February 2022 in Dubai. Prior to joining C. Lewis, Sahar worked as a loss adjuster in Australia for three years. During this time, she was involved in handling significant business interruption losses emerging from catastrophes (CAT claims) such as the 2019 Australian bushfires, as well as assisting senior loss adjusters with large and complex loss analysis.

As part of the C. Lewis Dubai office, Sahar serves as a Senior Associate, working on large claims on behalf of insurers; handling a variety of claims including business interruption, increased costs of working, stock loss, product recall, and liability.

Sahar’s expertise in forensic accounting and financial analysis includes:

  • The quantification of over 1,000 business interruption losses stemming from government-mandated lockdowns in response to the Covid-19 pandemic;
  • Loss assessment of circa US$100m production facility loss in India.
  • Audit of insurance claims held by four difference insurers in Lebanon (at the appointment of the reinsurer), following the Beirut port explosion;
  • Played a key role in quantifying the loss of liquid aluminum production in Romania, which presented added complexity due to the Russia/Ukraine war;
  • Provided support in assessing power loss incidents in Oman and Saudi Arabia;
  • Involved with significant business interruption losses emerging from the 2019 Australian bushfires which caused AUD$110 billion in damage and economic loss;
  • Managed all insurance claims for a large international franchise with recorded revenue of USD$4 billion for the financial year ended 28 February 2019.
